Job Description:

Manufacturing Engineer responsible for planning and coordinating production processes, developing tooling and cell layouts, leading root cause analysis on quality issues, and driving continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate process activities to ensure top-quality output across the work cell
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation including routers, TSDs, and standard work instructions
  • Design and develop tooling to support production requirements
  • Develop and optimize cell layouts
  • Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, and planning teams to safeguard product quality
  • Investigate internal and external quality issues, leading cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement in KPIs and explore new process controls to boost quality
  • Help train team members on process development and sustainment
  • Maintain accurate documentation on the company wiki

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • 3–5 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or Development Engineering
  • 3–5 years of experience in cable or wire harness manufacturing
  • Background in Aerospace manufacturing is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Skilled in CAD and/or SolidWorks
  • Trained in APQP tools (D/PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP) is an advantage
