Role Overview
The Treasury Manager (AR/AP) is responsible for overseeing the organizations cash flow, liquidity, and treasury operations to maintain financial stability and support business activities. This role manages accounts receivable and payable processes in relation to cash management, ensures effective banking relationships, and implements strategies to optimize working capital and financial risk management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a Masters degree or MBA is an advantage.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Professional certification such as CPA or with MBA is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cash management, working capital optimization, investments, and financial risk management.
- Proficiency in treasury management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the organizations daily cash position and liquidity, ensuring sufficient funds are available to support operational requirements.
- Prepare and monitor short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Oversee and optimize working capital management, including coordination of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and related cash cycles.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, including negotiation of banking services, credit facilities, and investment arrangements.
- Supervise bank account administration, including signatories, access controls, and compliance with internal policies.
- Evaluate and manage short- and long-term investment opportunities, while monitoring debt obligations, interest payments, and compliance with loan covenants.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize financing costs and maximize investment returns.
- Identify and manage financial risks related to liquidity, interest rates, and foreign exchange, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee daily treasury transactions such as fund transfers, collections, and payments, ensuring accuracy and proper controls.
- Prepare cash flow and treasury performance reports for management and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, tax requirements, and internal governance standards.
