Role Overview
The IT Senior Procurement Manager (Software) plays a key leadership role in managing software procurement categories, ensuring value delivery through strategic sourcing, effective vendor partnerships, and optimized licensing frameworks. This position oversees the full procurement lifecycle for software solutions, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technology direction. Working closely with IT stakeholders and software vendors, the role supports sustainable licensing models, compliance, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement across a curated pool of trusted suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Software Supply & Risk Management
- Assess software market trends, licensing structures, and vendor risks.
- Recommend strategies to ensure reliable and sustainable access to essential software platforms.
- Conduct vendor capability evaluations and compliance checks to minimize operational and security risks.
Vendor Lifecycle Management
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of software vendors from accreditation to offboarding.
- Track vendor performance, SLAs, and adherence to contractual terms.
- Collaborate with partners to address performance gaps and support evolving technology needs.
Cost & Value Optimization
- Perform price benchmarking, cost analysis, and evaluation of licensing/subscription models.
- Lead negotiations, secure volume-based advantages, and pursue enterprise-level agreements.
- Use market intelligence to enhance value delivery across software procurement categories.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and other key teams to align procurement activities with business requirements.
- Provide insights on sourcing strategies and recommend improvements based on stakeholder feedback.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, IT, Business, or related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in strategic, end-to-end procurement preferably focused on software or IT categories.
- Procurement or Supply Chain certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are an advantage.
- Strong expertise in Software Supply Management, Vendor Management, Negotiation, Cost Optimization, Risk Management, and Stakeholder Management.
- Knowledge of software licensing frameworks, SaaS agreements, and IT procurement best practices.
- Open to a hybrid work arrangement based in Ortigas, Pasig.
