Job Description
The Procurement Manager (IT Hardware) plays a strategic leadership role in managing assigned procurement categories, with a strong focus on IT hardware sourcing and supplier partnerships. This role is responsible for the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, ensuring cost efficiency, supply reliability, and long-term value creation. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, the Procurement Manager secures sustainable capacity and availability from a curated pool of Market Best-in-Class (MBIC) vendors to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supply & Risk Management
Analyze supply and demand trends to anticipate risks and ensure continuous availability of IT hardware.
Identify potential supply risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and plant visits to validate capabilities and support long-term scalability.
Supplier Management
Manage the full supplier lifecycle, from accreditation and onboarding to performance management and termination.
Monitor supplier performance, identify gaps, and work collaboratively with vendors to meet complex category requirements.
Maintain strong, strategic partnerships with MBIC suppliers.
Cost Management
Perform detailed cost analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Lead negotiations and sourcing initiatives to optimize procurement value.
Leverage market intelligence and trends to support pricing and sourcing decisions.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
Manage complex procurement requests and large-volume orders.
Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
Provide strategic recommendations based on customer feedback and operational insights.
People Management
Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members.
Ensure effective workload distribution, performance management, and capability building within the team.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or any business-related course.
Minimum of 5 years of end-to-end strategic procurement experience.
Proven experience handling IT hardware procurement categories.
Demonstrated people management experience, currently or previously leading a team.
Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is an advantage
