Data Engineer (Healthcare Services)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines and data architectures.
- Integrate and consolidate data from multiple internal and external systems into centralized repositories or data warehouses.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across different business units.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Implement data governance policies, including privacy, security, and compliance measures.
- Optimize database performance and automate data processing workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data flow, quality, and accessibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Database Developer, or in a similar role.
- Strong command of SQL and familiarity with data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Azure Data Warehouse).
- Proficient in Python, R, or Java for data manipulation and automation.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, or Azure Data Factory).
- Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of data modeling, governance, and API integration.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of handling large datasets efficiently.
- Background in healthcare or insurance data systems is an advantage.
