Quality Assurance Manager
Job Description:
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday | Onsite
Location: Danao, Cebu
The Quality Assurance Manager oversees all QA functions to ensure that products consistently meet required quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role upholds compliance, manages certifications, oversees QA systems, and drives continuous improvement across commissary operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and implement Quality Management and Quality Assurance programs in line with regulatory, global, and customer standards.
- Ensure adherence to QA policies, GMP, Food Safety, HACCP, ISO, and other quality frameworks.
- Supervise QA operations, laboratory functions, and documentation to achieve quality objectives and sustain certifications.
- Promote product quality and food safety enhancements while supporting expansion projects, innovation efforts, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Manage departmental resources, budgeting, and capability-building plans.
- Lead, mentor, and assess QA staff; identify training needs and support professional development.
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and government agencies (FDA, NMIS, BAI, BFAR, LGUs).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Must be a licensed Chemist or Chemical Engineer.
- A masters degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Food QA, R&D, or Manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong background in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, QA testing, and analytical methodologies.
- Experience with QMS such as HACCP, ISO, and SPC; exposure to bakery or meat processing is a plus.
- Work will be office- and plant-based, with possible fieldwork, external audits, inspections, and supplier visits.
