Investment Associate
Location: Makati City (Onsite)
Work Schedule: Morning Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and evaluate investment opportunities aligned with the firm's investment strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, business owners, intermediaries, and key industry stakeholders to generate proprietary deal flow.
- Lead preliminary investment assessments, including financial modeling, valuation, commercial due diligence, and return analysis.
- Conduct comprehensive industry, market, and competitive research to identify attractive investment sectors and emerging trends.
- Develop well-supported investment theses and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Manage end-to-end due diligence across financial, commercial, tax, legal, operational, and ESG workstreams while coordinating with external advisors and management teams.
- Prepare investment memoranda, board presentations, and transaction materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support transaction structuring, commercial negotiations, and the execution of definitive agreements.
- Collaborate on post-investment initiatives, including the development of 100-day value creation plans and transition to portfolio management teams.
- Prepare quarterly investor reports, LP updates, fundraising presentations, and other strategic reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Development, Strategic Finance, or Transaction Advisory.
- Candidates with experience in Investment Banking or Big 4 Transaction Services / Deal Advisory are highly preferred.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects, lead multiple workstreams, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a structured and analytical approach.
- Strong research capabilities using both public and proprietary sources to support investment decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and S&P Capital IQ (or similar financial databases).
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Highly professional, proactive, and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
