Job Description:
The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance & Food Safety will lead the end-to-end quality strategy across manufacturing and supply chain operations, ensuring all products consistently meet defined standards for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role is accountable for driving robust quality management systems, strengthening audit frameworks, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across all operating units.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of enterprise-wide Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs.
  • Oversee compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including FDA, NMIS, BAI, BFAR, LGU, and other governing bodies.
  • Direct internal and external audit programs across manufacturing plants, suppliers, toll processors, bakeries, and distribution centers; ensure timely resolution of findings and mitigation of risks.
  • Establish and monitor quality performance metrics; analyze trends and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for sustained improvement.
  • Manage critical quality and food safety incidents, ensuring proper escalation, root cause analysis, and resolution.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Engineering to drive process optimization, facility upgrades, and implementation of best-in-class quality systems.
  • Lead supplier quality management initiatives, including accreditation, capability assessments, and ongoing performance reviews.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of advanced testing methods, process controls, and automation where applicable.
  • Build, develop, and lead high-performing QA teams; oversee workforce planning, capability development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Prepare and present executive-level reports on quality performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Licensed Chemist, Chemical Engineer, or Chemical Technician is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years total experience in Food Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or R&D, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong background in Food Science and Technology, including microbiology, food chemistry, and physicochemical analysis.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems such as HACCP, ISO (e.g., ISO 22000), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Deep understanding of GMP, GWP, and GLP standards within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance and audit management across multiple sites.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Must be willing to be based in Cebu (Danao City or nearby areas preferred).
