Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Manager oversees all QA operations to ensure that all products consistently meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role manages QA systems, maintains certifications, ensures compliance, and supports continuous improvement across commissary operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement Quality Assurance and Quality Management programs based on regulatory, global, and client standards.
- Ensure compliance with QA policies, GMP, Food Safety, HACCP, ISO, and other quality requirements.
- Manage QA operations, laboratory activities, and documentation to meet quality objectives and maintain certifications.
- Drive product quality and food safety improvements while supporting expansion, innovation, and cost-saving projects.
- Oversee departmental resources, budgeting, and organizational development.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate QA team members; identify training needs and support career development.
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and government agencies (FDA, NMIS, BAI, BFAR, LGUs).
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or any related course.
- Must be a licensed Chemist or Chemical Engineer.
- A masters degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in Food Quality Assurance, R&D, or Manufacturing; with 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong background in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, QA testing, and analytical techniques.
- Experience implementing QMS such as HACCP, ISO, SPC; background in bakery or meat processing is a plus.
