Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Marine Insurance Business Development Manager to join our team. This role blends strategic business development with deep expertise in marine insurance broking to drive growth, build strong client relationships, and deliver tailored insurance solutions that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities within the marine insurance sector to achieve growth targets.
- Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to expand the companys client base and product portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design marketing campaigns and client acquisition strategies that strengthen the companys market presence.
Marine Insurance Broking
- Manage and expand a portfolio of marine insurance accounts, ensuring high-quality service delivery and long-term client retention.
- Structure and handle Fronting Arrangements and Reinsurance support to provide clients with competitive, compliant, and comprehensive coverage solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriters to secure optimal terms and conditions for clients.
Client & Market Engagement
- Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote services and build brand visibility.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance on marine insurance practices, market trends, and regulatory compliance.
- Strengthen client engagement through proactive communication, solution-oriented advice, and consistent service excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Insurance, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marine insurance broking and business development.
- Strong understanding of marine insurance products, reinsurance processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into sustainable business growth.
