Compliance Manager (Power and Energy)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the companys compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with energy regulations, environmental standards, safety protocols, and industry-specific requirements.
- Coordinate regulatory filings, license renewals, and documentation for operational and project-related compliance.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and recommend corrective action plans.
- Lead internal audits, compliance monitoring, and reporting activities.
- Provide guidance to business units regarding regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and government offices.
- Deliver compliance training sessions to employees and promote awareness across the organization.
- Investigate potential compliance violations and manage incident reporting processes.
- Monitor changes in relevant laws, rules, and industry guidelines and ensure timely organizational updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Law, Business, Finance, Public Administration, or related field; legal background is an advantage.
- 810 years of compliance experience, preferably in the power, energy, utilities, infrastructure, or similarly regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, environmental and safety standards, and corporate governance.
- Experience in audit management, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring.
- Exceptional analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a compliance-focused environment.
