Associate – Technology Risk Consulting

Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate – Technology Risk Consulting to join our growing consulting team. In this role, you will support external client engagements focused on technology risk, IT governance, information security, cybersecurity, and IT assurance. You will work closely with experienced consultants in assessing technology risks, evaluating internal controls, and helping clients strengthen their IT governance and security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering technology risk, IT assurance, cybersecurity, and IT governance consulting engagements.
  • Perform IT control testing, technology risk assessments, cybersecurity reviews, and compliance evaluations.
  • Conduct walkthroughs, interviews, and information gathering sessions with client stakeholders.
  • Prepare workpapers, project documentation, reports, and client deliverables.
  • Support the development and review of information security policies, procedures, standards, and governance documentation.
  • Identify technology risks and recommend practical solutions to improve internal controls and business processes.
  • Collaborate with engagement teams to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Stay informed on emerging technology risks, cybersecurity trends, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in technology risk, IT consulting, IT audit, IT assurance, cybersecurity, information security, or related fields.
  • Exposure to external consulting or client-facing engagements is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of IT governance, risk management, information security, and internal control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Preferred Certifications

  • ISO/IEC 27001
  • ISO 22301
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
  • CPA (preferred but not required)
