Role Overview
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning initiatives that enhance employee capabilities, support career development, and contribute to organizational success. The role works closely with business leaders and HR partners to identify development needs, create effective learning solutions, and foster a culture of continuous learning. This position is ideal for an HR professional with experience in corporate training, instructional design, leadership development, and capability-building within dynamic business environments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in Learning and Development, Training, Organizational Development, Talent Development, or related HR functions.
  • Proven experience conducting training needs analysis and developing learning and capability-building programs.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience creating training materials, learning modules, and competency-based development programs.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience supporting learning initiatives within telecommunications, technology, BPO, or large corporate organizations is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Needs Assessment
  • Conduct training needs analyses across various departments and business functions.
  • Partner with managers and stakeholders to identify competency gaps and development priorities.
  • Translate business and organizational requirements into targeted learning solutions.
Program Design and Development
  • Develop and update training materials, facilitator guides, e-learning content, and learning resources.
  • Design learning programs covering technical, functional, leadership, and behavioral competencies.
  • Ensure learning interventions align with organizational goals and competency frameworks.
Training Delivery and Facilitation
  • Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, workshops, and development programs.
  • Coordinate internal and external learning initiatives.
  • Support onboarding and new-hire development activities.
Learning Administration and Reporting
  • Manage training calendars, participant enrollment, attendance records, and documentation.
  • Maintain LMS platforms and training databases.
  • Prepare learning reports, metrics, and dashboards for management review.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
  • Assess training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze learning outcomes and recommend enhancements to programs and processes.
  • Stay informed on emerging learning trends, tools, and best practices.
Talent and Leadership Development
  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and high-potential employee programs.
  • Assist in implementing competency frameworks and career development initiatives.
  • Contribute to employee engagement, organizational development, and culture-building efforts.
