Head of Supply Chain (F&B)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership
- Define and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead and develop supply chain teams across procurement, planning, logistics, and distribution.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
Planning and Operations
- Oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management to ensure product availability and minimize waste.
- Ensure efficient production planning in coordination with manufacturing and quality teams.
- Optimize warehousing, transportation, and distribution networks for cost, service level, and scalability.
Procurement and Supplier Management
- Lead sourcing and procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging, and third-party services.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance to ensure quality, continuity, and cost competitiveness.
- Mitigate supply risks through supplier diversification and contingency planning.
Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, local regulatory requirements).
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to uphold product integrity and traceability.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation and business continuity plans.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Quality to support new product launches and promotions.
- Provide regular performance updates, KPIs, and insights to executive management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership, preferably within the Food & Beverage or FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of demand planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-site supply chain operations.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
